The Exalted themselves are like a mix between chinese wuxia, anime protagonists, and greek heroes. They are, for whatever reason, chosen by one of the celestials to govern and protect creation. That was a long time ago, and now creation rejects them, their enemies have the advantage, and several great threats loom from all corners. The solars have been stymied, their shards imprisoned for eternity while the lunars have become broken and dissident. The Terrestrials and Sdereals try to manage creation's woes while hunting down any lunars or solars, but corruption plagues their empire. In short, creation's in the kind of jam where you need something more than a god to help. It's a good thing that's just what the exalted are.

[collapse=Who is this faggot?][justify]At face value, Yu-Han is just another lazy vagrant traveling where the breeze takes him. He seeks to live a life of freedom and whimsy, without any burden of responsibility, by traveling the world and seeking excitement at every opportunity. However, his careless journey is often disrupted both by his nature as a lunar Exalted and his sometimes (almost always) sarcastic and unstable personality creating trouble. He often gets in and out of trouble constantly wherever he goes, relying on speed and guile to stay one step ahead of his enemies and/or aggravated friends. Yu-han yearns to find new forms of pleasure and excitement and often seems to care little about anything other than himself, but any of his friends will eventually find him to be surprisingly earnest and dependable in his own unique way. Somewhat intentionally, Yu-han appears to many as a shady trickster not to be trusted; that is if he is not masquerading as someone or something else or sneaking into the homes of the rich and stealing their valuable or their daughter's purity. Even those who know him well will keep close attention to small valuable baubles when around him and will always avoid playing games of chance with him.

Despite living in the violent world that is Creation, Yu-Han does not have a preference for combat, and will usually not involve himself in most battles that he deems to be "without profit" or will seek diplomacy if possible. If he is cornered or feels personally about the conflict, he uses his superhuman mobility and stamina to his advantage to disable, confuse, and tire out his opponents. The majority of Yu-han's knacks and charms augment his ability as a shapeshifter as well. He also maintains a sparse but widespread web of influence among nomads, traders, sailors, beggars, and other destitute travelers who keep him informed. These abilities, skills, and resources combine to make Yu-han a valuable asset to any circle as a spymaster or infiltrator.

Being born to a moderately wealthy family, Yu-han had a relatively cultured upbringing with access to moderate wealth and a relatively good education. While not particularly athletic, Yu-han maintained his physique throughout his youth by hiking and performing grandiose dares and tricks to entertain the local children and impress their mothers. Being a lunar has made the matter of maintaining his appearance a lot easier.

Yu-han exalted when he was 18. The heroic act which triggered his exaltation and gained the attention of Luna was a controversial but effective plan to defend his home village from slavers and bandits, it mostly involved the burning of the temple on the outskirts, most of the beautiful linens stolen from the few rich noblewomen, several priceless gold necklaces, and the greedy bandits and slavers tricked into thinking it was a tribute to them inside. The loss of the old temple and the material belongings were grave, and to some unforgivable, but many of the commoners agreed with Yu-han that any plan that ended with the complete annihilation of an enemy force without casualties was worth praising. The plan went off without a hitch, leaving very few surviving brigands, but Yu-han was nowhere to be found for the festivities. His grand trick had attracted the attention of Luna as being worthy of a Steward and thus he was selected to become exalted. Yu-han was lucky to be found by a small band of lunars a week after the incident before the the Wyld hunt could track the young boy down. He wears the tatoos of a Changing-Moon Caste, the lunar masters of espionage and investigation.

[collapse=Physical Appearance] Yu-han's natural form is that of a winged 25-year-old man with Charcoal hair, brown eyes, and light skin who stands at exactly 5'11. Yu-han's wings are not related to his exaltation, and he does not remember receiving them or anything around the time when he did. Considering the nature of the incident, he believes it is likely the curse of a Raksha. The wings are present in all forms Yu-han shapes into, but outside of his natural form he is capable of making them small and vestigal so they can be hid. In a way, they serve almost as a sort of second tell. Like most exalts, Yu-han is in perfect phyiscal condition and his small and lean body is just as powerful as any mortal brute. Yu is a sticker about appearance and hygiene, and while the grime of the road is a constant feature on his body; he wastes no time in making himself clean when he can.

As for sexual details, Yu-han can technically be anything his partner wants if he wants to. Yu-han is much better at precise and exact shapeshifting for purposes of disguise or utility than other lunars. At default, he is simply a little bit above the average man as far as endowments go.

A lunar exalted male of the changing moon caste who enjoys taking the forms of many birds, his spirit shape being a crow. He often relies on disguise or stealth to travel through creation unimpeded, usually posing as a monk or a vagrant. While he often doesn't meddle in situations that are not pertinent to him, he despises slavers and any who force unwilling mortals into servitude, and detests tyrants. He is compelled to act against these atrocities often with sabotage or theft but sometimes assassination.

This character was made for the exalted setting, but is flexible enough to appear anywhere with vaguely eastern themes


I will usually try to adopt Yu-han to any setting or situation where he can just be a normal bird dude if you want to. I enjoy planning out scenes, but I have no issue with spontaneous play either.
