It's been twenty years since Unification. The day when the aliens gave their gifts to mankind after beating the human supremacist faction known as X-COM. Under a misguided pretense that the aliens had come for some nefarious purpose the governments funded the X-COM project and they attacked with our provocation. It was only a matter of self defense on the part of the alien travelers. After their victory and the crushing defeat of the X-COM forces humanity entered a new era under their new, benevolent, alien rulers. Gene therapy was a reality as were cybernetics and energy. War, strife, poverty, all of it was being eliminated one step at a time. Humanity had their travelers from beyond the stars to thank for this. There are only bright days ahead for humanity.

Agent Viper, as she is known, is one of many ground forces working as an ambassador to the human race. A soldier and a diplomat Viper is calm and collected most of the time. But when she is attacked or those in her charge come under attack she is a ruthless killing machine and will not stop until every enemy is dead at her tail. Adored by those who know her, they fight with her and beside her without question. An intelligent member of her species she is often seen, and when allowed to be recorded, working in the Advent labs for the betterment of humanity.

Characteristics: Much like earth reptiles the viper species is cold blooded. The armor they wear seems to act as a portable insulation unit allowing them operate in colder climates for long periods before they need to bask in the sun or warm their blood up. They are deceptively fast and can crush a human being with ease. Their tongue is prehensile and can extent for for five feet allowing them a devastating attack. Their "breasts" are unknown in purpose but it is theorized they may be venom sacks of some kind. The venom they use can have a variety of effects and it seems as if they can choose between what type of venom they use. They are to be engaged with extreme caution.
Additional notes: Reports have come in that some vipers are collecting humans to be used as breeding slaves or a harem. It is unclear why but the theory is that they have a hyperactive sex drive and after combat or strenuous activity they engage in sex as a means to relax and exert dominance over a subjugated species. If you are captured by one, kill yourself. Better death than an alien sex toy.
