Uriel trained long and hard to rise up the ranks of Heaven's Legion. Ever since he was a young angel he has been devoted to the cause for which he was created: defending all that is good and brining retribution on all that is wrong. He's a militaristic type, always living by a strict code and making sure everything is in relative order. However, he is passionate, and is not afraid to work outside the rules for the sake of his virtues. He believes himself to be an important member of the war on the unholy, and looks down on anything he sees as hedonistic or sinful.

However, just because Uriel is a warrior of light, doesn't mean he is merciful. The angel has a bit of a mean streak, while he will do his best to defend the innocent and protect the forces of good and all that, he can be a bully when it comes to those beneath him. It's not unheard of for him to tease and harass those who are below him in rank, both friend and foe. And should he defeat someone in battle, it's likely he will furthur establish his victory by embarassing them and pushing their nose in the dirt. He's not cruel like the demons he combats, but mercy is is a luxury he does not always afford.

Still a relatively young member of his core, Uriel has the body of a young adult human male. His hair is a golden blonde, which he keeps short above his piercing blue eyes. At any given time, he can sport anywhere from one to six sets of pure white dove wings, but he tends to dismisses them entirely when he's earth bound for long periods of time. The rest of his body is toned from years and years of strict military training. Though his halo and wings can give him quite an imposing figure, when he keeps them hidden it is almost impossible to tell him apart from any other human boy.

Perhaps a bit zealous about his crusade, Uriel sometimes spends his time off on the surface, hunting demons and hell-spawn in his spare time. Most in the legion would advise against this, as it is a great way to get outnumbered, but that doesn't stop Uriel. He tends to pick his fights carefully when doing this, usually posing as a human boy to lure in a single demon, such as a lemure or a succubus, and dispatch them quickly. A risky hobby to be sure, but one he is passionate about none the less.

[collapse=For Fantasy Settings...]Uriel is a celestial warrior of good, constantly waging battle against demons and all that is sinful. Whether it be after a large battle, or a personal crusade, he can be commonly found trying to bring justice to those who would defy the light of heaven. If he believes someone to be defying god or committing a sinful act, he will surely try to punish or defeat them.[/collapse]

[collapse=For Modern Settings...]The battle between heaven and hell is one that seemed to fade with time, but in reality it only faded from the public view. As humans became more detached from magic and mythology, the war between good and evil took a more subtle approach, disguising itself in everyday life from the masses. As Uriel bears a strong resemblance to a human, his is on the front lines of this war, traveling the surface under the guise of a young man, constantly on the lookout for sinners or devils.[/collapse]
