They're loud, they steal poultry, they carve up whatever livestock they can't carry away, they steal honest, hard-working farmers to make more of their hellspawn, and generally make themselves the biggest nuisances ever born aloft by two wings.

"Birdbrained" might mean what it does for a reason, but that doesn't mean a harpy is unaware when he's being treated like shit. The only way out was to leave and never look back, and he did.
