Tasked with protecting the King from harm, Stephenie fought tooth and nail to ensure nothing would come in between him and Garrosh Hellscream and in the end the tyrant was brought to justice.

Her efforts proved for naught, however, as Garrosh would later elude capture and escape to Draenor. Barely recovered from the siege of Orgrimmar, Steph was once again called to battle; this time leading her unit through the Dark Portal and into the alien world of Draenor. There, she encountered horrors and acts of brutality the memories of which still haunt her today - entire villages of Draenei razed by the savage orcs, grotesque monsters, blood sacrifices and demonic magic to name a few. Stephenie found herself stuck behind enemy lines fighting the Iron Horde for a long, difficult year. Memories of home and her family were the only thing she could hold onto in that dire, alien place. She lost many good soldiers under her command to the harsh wilds and barbaric tactics of the Iron Horde - losses that she will remember forever. Only through sheer willpower and luck did she manage to survive and ultimately assist the Alliance in taking out not only the various Orcish warlords but she even played a part in bringing an end to the demon lord Archimonde.

Stephenie returned home shortly after, the Iron Horde defeated and her duty fulfilled, to her family's loving arms. However, once again, her hard-won peace was shortly lived when the Burning Legion invaded Azeroth for the third time. Westfall was one of the many initial targets of the Legion and the demons swiftly razed the surrounding farms. Stephenie was quick to respond to the threat, escorting her sister and mother to safety but she was unable to save her father. With his dying breath, Rickard Thorne bid his eldest daughter to remain true to her family and to always protect them - she was the matriarch of the Thorne family now. Taking up her sword once more, Steph pledged to avenge her father and see the Legion routed from Azeroth - or die trying.

The Alliance's answer to the Legion's Invasion was the ill-fated attack on the Broken Shore in which Stephenie found herself on the front lines. She not only witnessed firsthand the death of Tirion Fordring but also the heroic sacrifice of King Varian Wrynn. Suffice to say the assault was a disaster. Stephenie and her unit were unable to escape aboard the Skyfire and were soon outnumbered and at the mercy of the demonic invaders. Steph's captain was cut down before her very eyes and if not for the timely arrival of Odyn's Val'kyr she, too, would have perished in that fateful battle. The next months saw Steph serving directly as one of Odyn's chosen, under the mentorship of the amazonian Vrykul, Finna Bjornsdottir, who taught Steph much about their culture and combat techniques. Stephenie came to aspire to the Vrykul way of life and dedicated herself to honing her body and skills in the hopes of finding glory in battle and death. She fought side by side with her new Vrykul allies and succeeded in defeating not only Helya but also taking the fight to the Legion homeworld of Argus. The forces of Azeroth ultimately achieved success in their fight against the Legion with Sargeras finally defeated and the surviving demons scattering to the corners of the Twisting Nether and for the moment it seemed that peace had finally come to Azeroth.

Sadly, the hard-fought victory was short lived - Sargeras' final act of plunging his sword deep into Azeroth set in motion a chain of events that would eventually see the Horde and Alliance once again at each others' throats. Once again, Stephenie has returned to active duty, promoted to Captain for her accomplishments in the fight against the Legion. Now, she sets her sights on bringing Sylvanas Windrunner to justice and ending the Horde threat once and for all...[/i][/collapse][/color]
