He always has and always will live life at his own pace, laughing like a madman while downing insane amounts of booze with friends one moment and calmly sunbathing while enjoying a peach and some tea alone the next. He's also quite the bum to put it bluntly. Largely detached from typical wants and needs he doesn't find himself annoyed at the prospect of sleeping outside or having a less than impressive meal. Deep within in the mountains, in a secluded paradise that rivals heaven itself rests a man who refers to himself as the Yellow Dragon. Every few months a challenger finds him in this land, but rather than a fight he simply offers them tea and an opportunity to relax along with him! Will you be the one who convinces him to duel you? Or will you instead indulge in the pleasures the paradise and he himself has to offer?

Kouryu wanders the vast world alone, with no particular purpose aside from simply experiencing what he can. Unfortunately due to his rowdy nature he's created quite the reputation for himself, likening him to a monster. There is a bit of truth to this, as a few too many drinks can very easily lead to a destroyed tavern or two, and a brawl with a few guards... Are you someone who's set out to stop his rumored rampage? Or a partner in crime?

Rather than seek pleasure Kouryu seeks glory. Finding the most powerful opponents to clash with, be it alone or with a party. Be warned though, when it comes to a fight his personality takes a very drastic shift, and he expects nothing but the best from the people he considers his allies.

Kouryu of the Celestial Pole

In the center of a magnificent city lies a palace, which houses what the people of the city call their 'Celestial Dragon God'. They say that generations ago he descended upon that very spot and changed what was once barren wasteland into a lush verdant paradise where anyone could flourish. He then brought a group of nomads to this brilliant land and instructed them to settle down there, with the promise that they, children, children's children and so on would live happily for their entire lives. Upon realizing that he spoke the truth they immediately hailed him as a god and built a home for him, thinking that if he ever left then the land would die and they would be forced to brave the harsh world once more.

It has been a very long time since then and Kouryu has remained there, accepting the daily offerings that the people bring him and fulfilling any requests he may have, not matter how outlandish. Be it massive amounts of food and drink, dazzling entertainment, or the most beautiful women to bed with. But there is some unrest going on. Some think that Kouryu is not acting in a way that is befitting of a god. Others hate the hard work he puts them through, while some believe that he may not actually be a god at all!

[collapse=OOC]So, first things first. This profile is always going to be a WIP. I'll be coming around to mess with it every now and then, and if I realize that there's a better way I could have this profile set up then I'll probably do it.

Secondly I have to admit that when doing a long term scene I'm not always in the mood to continue it day after day, so please don't think that I've totally lost interest if I tell you that I'd like to resume after a day or two. It's simply so I don't get burnt out too fast. Personally I'd prefer if things were played out in a more episodic manner, with a scenario starting and ending on the day we rp, with continuity between them if we rp more than once.

Regarding the Not saying no/Wasting time custom: This is a trend I've noticed a lot when I've looked for people to roleplay with. We'll discuss what kind of scene we want to do and maybe we'll even have the chance to play some of it out after that, but then at some point we have to cut things short with the promise that we'll resume in the next few days. Hey that's fine. Shit happens. Problem is when I approach people to resume they never seem to have the time, and it starts to become more and more obvious that they just don't want to rp with me anymore, be it because they just aren't in the mood for whatever we planned anymore, or maybe they just had higher expectations of me and are disappointed or they just have other people to rp with. If you feel this way when we plan or start an rp, then just say so. Tell me that you don't want to rp anymore. You don't even have to tell me why. Just do the both of us a favor and say no so I don't waste anymore of my time and you don't waste anymore of yours. [/collapse]
