Saimi is a Sarnait/Gardevoir with... slightly stronger hypnotic powers than usual. She is a gentle creature however, and rather than using this talent to malicious effect, she is more inclined to use it to make those around her happy, sharing in the positive emotions through her passive empathy with those surrounding her. Most generally this takes the form of removing negative tendencies or desires from people, and undoing inhibitions that would prevent them from being genuinely happy.

Despite a high level of intelligence and an understanding of human languages, a lack of appropriate vocal chords renders Saimi unable to vocalize them. Her psychic powers allow her to overcome this for the most part, though projecting coherent language still takes a bit much effort and focus, and she tends to prefer to "communicate" by broadcasting emotions rather than thoughts into others' minds. Other than the basic appearance of a typical member of her species, due to Saimi's hypnotic powers the smaller details of her body are a bit fluid in each instance - height relative to you, the particular shade of green (or blue) she happens to be, even her sex is not necessarily constant, allowing her to participate as a male, female, or futanari/hermaphrodite. No matter how they meet their Trainer though, that relationship is perhaps the most iconic between Pokemon and humans, and Sarnait in particular are known for being exceptionally devoted to their Trainers both in and out of battle. Many Trainers are quite young and either just starting or right in the midst of puberty, and it's a naturally scary and confusing time for those going through it. Add on the fact that many Pokemon Trainers end up far from home with no adults they can trust or ask about such personal things, and goodness knows how a child might turn out, plagued with a mix of strange new fantasies and urges while their body changes in bizarre and hideous ways, filling them with a sense of shame and guilt. For a Pokemon as devoted to her Trainer as Saimi, it'd only be natural for her to try and ease the emotional burden going on there... and why not provide physical relief while she's at it?

Matchmaking - Saimi's Trainer has a crush! No, not on her, on one of their human acquaintances - a traveling companion, a rival, or just a friend they keep bumping into. Now, much as Saimi loves her Trainer, she isn't one to induce attraction where there isn't any... but little does her poor partner know, that one-sided affection isn't so one-sided as they think! Certainly there's nothing wrong with a third party who can see things all too clearly giving a little mental nudge here and there to help subtly guide the budding couple together?

Dreams - Maybe that one-sided crush really was one-sided after all. Well, making someone fall in love is out of the question, and while Saimi can help ease the pain and guide her Trainer's thoughts and actions down a healthy path of dealing with it, she can't make them completely "fall out of love" so to speak. The least she can do is let them live out their fantasies in the safety of their dreams.

Domestic - Journeys come to an end, for better or worse. Whether they gave up before even earning their first Gym badge or retired as proud Champions, many Trainers will sooner or later settle down and have a nice quiet home life. Perhaps they will find other jobs, or pursue research or hobbies, or maybe they've just made enough money that they can sit around the house all day. Whatever the case, Saimi's as loyal as ever, and should her Trainer be a confirmed bachelor/ette, she'd be more than eager to put on the maid outfit (or even just the apron) and tend to all the duties a good wife should.[/collapse]
