[color=pink][i]The youngest of the Three Gorgon Sisters, but the only one to ever grow beyond her original youth. Originally a trio of Earth Goddesses, Medusa, Euryale, and Stheno were cursed by the goddess Athena for inflaming the lust of the sea god Poseidon. Each was turned from a beautiful woman to a hideous devourers of human flesh with snakes for hair. The home of the Earth Goddesses became known as the Temple of Blood, and their visages were so horrific to gaze upon that any man unfortunate enough to catch a glimpse would be turned to stone on the spot.

That doesn't seem to be the case when Medusa is summoned as a Heroic Spirit, however. She might have a bit of a complex about being too tall or too chesty to be considered attractive, but she's by no means hideous, and there's a distinct lack of snakes in her hair. Those skilled in magecraft, however, will find one inkling of truth in the legends. Her blindfold is a very powerful boundary field, holding back a set of mystic eyes powerful almost beyond compare. Anyone caught in her field of vision when she removes her blindfold will find their bodies rooted in place, every fiber of their being locked up. It takes a reserve of mana on par with the great magicians of legend to resist this effect, and even those who can still move under this effect will experience a severe degradation in their abilities from the pressure.

But life isn't all pitched combat with figures of legend for the Holy Grail. When making an impression isn't on the menu, a pair of specially crafted glasses or contact lenses suffice to keep her paralytic abilities in check, and the elbow gloves and stockings are traded for a nice sweater and some jeans.[/i][/color]
