Melly, as she prefers to be called, is merely a researcher at the local public university which she has been attending for quite some time now. Her fascination with the various different kinds of bodies found in anthropomorphic animals, and their similar humanoid-like structure, has lead her to a path of studying anatomy and biology.

In her home, she keeps numerous studies of the general anthro body and its associated diagrams; she finds herself fondly flipping through pages of different types of books pertaining to different types of animals, as they all seem to contribute their own unique set of physical attributes. While reading up on the internal anatomy of such species, she developed a somewhat odd fondness for cross-sections and a curiosity of what these sorts of diagrams would appear as in reality.

Soon enough, her curiosity led way to her taking more bioengineering and medical classes, and her research is decidedly culminating towards a breakthrough in surgery and life elongation. What she intends to do is to discover a way to reversibly remove people's appendages and to remove people's heads while the person is still alive. Since such a procedure tends to be rather risky, however, and it doesn't seem many people are willing to trial for it, she is eager to perform the necessary surgery on anyone who is willing to try it out.


[big]SCENARIO[/big]
There are many different types of settings one can perform with Melly. They generally range from the less realistic to the more realistic, though anything can - and is encouraged to be - discussed.

On one hand, a more lax setting can occur where most of the ramifications are handwaved and everything is temporary, and the surgery or treatment isn't anything particularly dangerous or bloody. This can be appealing to people who simply want to play around with the idea of having detachable parts.

Another, more realistic setting, however, is the idea some sort of device has to be implanted into the person in order to keep them alive, or that they can only move their head even though their body is still living and feeling everything, or that the body isn't easy to put back together as it is to take apart.

An alternative, more futuristic setting could occur where the person is instead roboticised or turned into a cyborg. Then, they won't have to worry about anything negative occurring, since they could freely replace their mechanical body parts whenever they'd like.
