[color=white]Malaise didn't always have bad luck. But now, it's difficult to imagine her life prior to it falling to shambles.
[collapse=Past]She was an unwanted birth, and her parents made sure she knew it. But this string of abuse didn't last too long when she was placed in the foster system. And things seemed to be taking a nice turn when she was brought to a sweet, young couple who couldn't have children of their own. She was happy with them, and they were happy with her. They brought her in just as if she was their own child. But it had to end.
She doesn't like talking about this time.[/collapse]
[collapse=Present]The first thing visible about her is, well, her appearance. Not only is her right hand amputated at the just below the wrist, but she is missing her left eye. She's thinner than a model, but without the airbrushed exterior, and her ribs poke into her skin. She lacks fat and muscle, just going to accentuate to her twiggy figure. Her color is overly pale, the markings of a recluse. Malaise has shoulder-length brown hair, often well-groomed and kept very clean, pretty. It has a natural sheen to it, and smoothness that comes only from tender care.
Beyond just her appearance is her current situation. She works as a janitor for a small legal firm. And that job has carried over into her private life, and she makes sure her low-rent apartment is as clean, neat as possible.
The inside of her little flat is very spartan. There isn't a whole lot in the place, save for bookshelves, all organized alphabetically, a laptop, her bed, and a small, CRT television. Of course, there are chairs and a table, plus the general kitchen fixtures, but she doesn't have much aside from those things.
She likes reading first and foremost, spending a large portion of her time buried in a novel. But aside from reading, she doesn't do too much. She seldom watches TV, and her other, most time-occupying hobby is playing video games. But even that is rather limited. Only having one hand, and it being her non-dominant one, she can only play mouse-driven games. Meaning, point-and-click adventures, 4x titles, turn-based strategies, and a few other titles.
And finally, cooking would be her final claim to fame. She finds following a recipe and making the meal properly something comforting, calming. And not to mention the food being tasty all makes it even better.[/collapse]

[collapse=OOC]The primary focus of Malaise is to be therapeutic, calming, and hopefully helpful. Unless you ask to roleplay, it won't be expected of you, so just pop in and we can begin talking. Sometimes the world can get you down, and just having someone to talk to can be a big help.
Of course, simple chatting isn't the only thing we can do. Roleplay is always available if you ask, and it can be just about anything you feel like. Simple cuddling, romance, and other feel-good scenes, or just about anything else you can think of.
