Formerly an antagonist in Connection City, though more of a pesky troublemaker than a villain, this little witch has since stepped up to the plate to protect the city from more serious dangers. Since her beloved black cat familiar, Friskers, was banished to the gap between dimensions, Mahou Star has taken it upon herself to accept formal training from the Silver Valkyrie instead of relying merely on what she learned in dusty old tomes. Even while doing good, Rachel can be a bit of an imp, playing pranks on her teammates or "borrowing" things when she thinks nobody's looking. She's still very motivated by self-interest at times.
Star's offensive capabilities are manifested in a deck of enchanted trading cards with devils and spirits sealed inside, though Silver Valkyrie has replaced it with an entirely blank deck save for one card, an aggressive spirit raven named Poe (for Star's own safety, or so she says). He might even make a half-decent familiar if he was smarter, but he's really just a cantankerous jackass. When the situation calls for a bit more finesse, Star can use her key-shaped rod to cast the Lock of Solomon. The powerful restraining magic gives her partners plenty of opportunities to strike, or try to reason with her captive. Additionally, she collects magic items that catch her fancy, her favorites being a magic compass that points to things you want (useless for Star unless she's unusually focused on one thing) and a Hand of Glory in the form of a stylish leather glove.
While she has a number of good, honest friendships in her new life of do-gooding, she'll stop at nothing to find Friskers again.
