Facing persecution for her gifts- sorcerous powers that she doesn't fully understand- and a lifetime imprisoned, the girl fled her homeland with her pockets filled with stolen money. The little mageling wholeheartedly pursues everything a caged bird could sing for: Freedom, friends, love, and self discovery! Taken to constantly traveling to avoid those who would pursue her, she's become something of an adventurer in the process. This change in lifestyle has proved a difficult one for her to adapt to, her slight form more used to libraries and silken clothes than heavy boots and muddy roads, but it certainly has had it's own rewards. For one, it's liberating! The world is full of strange and interesting people to meet, and fascinating new things to learn!

[indent][color=#1]Emily hails from a lesser noble family in the cut-throat Magocratic state of Vestifel. Vestifel had a simple rule among it's noble families: The line which bore those who contributed the most to the high arts of magic and gave rise to the most powerful spellcasters would in turn enjoy the most power and prestige. Desperate to increase their own station, the Burke family raised their eldest daughter specifically with the intent of marrying her off to a more prestigious family and thus increasing their own clout. From a young age Emily was trained in etiquette, and raised to be silent and supportive and taught never to disgrace her family or herself by acting untoward. Her early years were a privileged- but sheltered- life with the girl hardly ever allowed beyond the walls of her family's crumbling estate.

She was raised to be the perfect bride. But she was imperfect.

Her first major ordeal came when her sorcery spontaneously manifested at the age of fourteen. This incident ended in her nearly burning down her family's manor when Emily suddenly realized she could conjure flames, though once she tried it she quickly realized she didn't know how to stop. This catastrophe was only about half an hour long in truth, but it would have heavy consequences upon the rest of her life.

Sorcery was looked down upon in Vestifel- seen as a far more savage and wild sort of magic than the learned and orderly arts of Wizardry- and ultimately considered a threat to very fabric of their society. Emily's nascent power was not seen differently, and her innate talents were scorned and feared. Her abilities were suppressed by a heavily warded collar that kept her from manifesting her new magics any further, and then she was locked away. With little other choice, the young girl sequestered herself in study and learned what she could from books smuggled from the family library by her attending servants while she dreamed one day of escaping her bonds and living freely.

That day never came, or at least not in the form she had had expected. Years passed, and while few knew the truth of the Burke family's scion, rumors had long begun to spread. Eventually the family simply wished to be rid of the liability the girl represented, and once she'd come of age, they sent their scion off to be wed in secret. Mere days after she'd passed her eighteenth summer, Emily was made the bride of a particularly malevolent man who happened to be of great influence in the courts of Vestifel. It was a marriage in name alone, for there was no ceremony and Emily merely exchanged one prison for another.

He was a cruel man indeed. He experimented ruthlessly upon the girl, attempting to find ways to use the power her blood held for his own gain. That was, of course, when he was not using her body for his own pleasure.

Eventually, there came a time when she could take it all no longer. One night as he slept Emily broke free and took flight, pockets filled with stolen money and her meager belongings ushered away on a steed she'd barely any idea on how to ride of care for. The girl wished nothing more than to be free, to explore both the world and her own powers that had been previously off limits to her, to see what it had in store for her. Whatever it was... it had to better than the life she'd known so far.

[indent][color=#1]A youthful and diminutive wisp of a woman, Emily rises up to to a humble height just over five feet. She has a scholar's frame, though the girl is not without the telltale curves and softness of budding womanhood. Fiery ginger curls spill about her shoulders in long and gentle waves that if left unattended threaten to reach all the way down her spine. A generous smattering of freckles pepper her porcelain complexion, heaviest in her cheeks but visible still wherever any of her pale skin might show. Curious blue eyes drink in her surroundings, and contrary to the late nights she's spent rapt in study they are free of the tired markings that would usually form beneath them.

Her heart-shaped face is possessed of a certain beautiful symmetry that is only just spoiled by the haphazard freckles that dot her cheeks and cross the bridge of her pert nose. While it seems like her plush lips might more prefer to smile, they are usually left pursed in such a way that might leave one concerned her expression is stuck etched into a state of mild dismay.

Elegant femininity seems to cling to every aspect of this sorceress. Her grooming is immaculate. As, it seems, is her sense of fashion. Whether wrapped in the long and flowing robes magic-users tend to prefer, or baring the more humble trappings of a commoner or adventurer it would be difficult to mistake her for anything but one of the highborn.

[indent][color=#1]Emily is kind and gentle soul. A combination of her sheltered and isolated upbringing and a history of scorn and abuse has resulted in her being quite quiet and withdrawn. She's not anti-social though, and is eager to make friends and companions. She retains an element of naivety to her, but she is slow to put her full trust in others, but will eventually open up if given time.

One who has earned her trust will find her a steadfast and devoted companion. One who wishes to truly win her heart will struggle, at least at first. The girl is a twisted mess of insecurities and moody memories, and can be quite mercurial in matters of love. One moment, you will have her, and the next she may shut you out. It is remarkably easy to destroy her demure facade and send her cheeks burning and lips stammering just by pushing her out of her remarkably small comfort zone.

While she dreams of courtly love and proper romance Emily also feels she is unworthy of such. Who would have someone so damaged? Someone such as her? It also doesn't help that she has no practical experience in these matters, which can make her conduct herself awkwardly... or even seem ignorant to the advances of others, as she is simply not certain how to react or reciprocate properly.

Emily usually- but not always- subverts the haughty behavior that is expected of nobility, typically conducting herself with a quiet dignity and elegance and in ways that avoid drawing too much attention to herself. Still, she is possessed of a certain undeniable charisma that can only come from one who is both a hereditary noble and a bloodborne spellcaster. When the stars align, she is truly a force to be reckoned with.

I'm looking for [b]long term[/b], [b]smutty[/b], [b]story-driven[/b] roleplay in [b]fantasy[/b] settings with interesting, dynamic and attractive characters. Adventures. Light and fluffy romance. Slice of Life. Darker themes. All good, all worth exploring with a worthy partner. Short-term/One Shot stuff is a possibility, but I will tend to favor more long-term scenes.

I prefer to play with other Females. Shemales, Transgender Characters and Female-Herms are also fine and I also play with males that pique my interests. Generally if I like your character, find them attractive or think there's an interesting dynamic between them and Emily I'll go for it. Character chemistry to me is a bigger deal than what genitalia your character has going on. If I'm not interested, I'll probably tell you so outright. It's not a personal thing, and it happens. Sorry.

I'm not a writing elitist, and will gladly do my best to match post lengths. I tend to hover around 5-8 sentences as a comfortable range, but I can and often do write more. You're also not obligated to match MY post length if I'm getting especially florid and lengthy, that's usually a good sign that I'm into things. When all else fails, just communicate any concerns you have with me OOCly.

That being said there is nothing I adore like a great writer.

Emily's setting herself is one I've written myself and I'm open to answer any and all questions about it. I'm familiar with all sorts of other settings too, though, so if your character is intrinsically linked to their setting somehow that's something we can work around. High Fantasy, Low Fantasy, Dark Fantasy, et cetera. I enjoy it all. Modern Fantasy... less-so, but it can be worked as well.

I'm not interested in profile play or status play. I prefer to keep my business discrete. Each story I weave with someone is it's own separate continuity.
