Kaori is a young Mi'qote/ Catgirl who ran away from her patriarchal village after she witnessed the rape of her older sister by the tribe's Nun'h/chief. She's innocent and kindhearted, but is also terribly naive and has the worlds worst luck, constantly causing trouble for people around her. She also has a near crippling social phobia, shy to the point of freezing up if approached by a group of people. She's more comfortable with women, finding men intimidating in general.
After an accident involving several alchemical concoctions, Kaori found that her body heals exceedingly quickly if left alone, regenerating from injuries that would scar other people. This strange effect has become necessary, as without it her many accidents and falls would have left her crippled and penniless long ago. She hangs around the Quicksand in Ul'dah, taking odd jobs for pay and watching people most days.

Kaori can be aged down as far as thirteen, for ageplay, at which point she has yet to see the tribe's brutal customs, and is more of a bubbly and cheerful kid.
