Note: Something being on my favorite/Yes list does NOT make it a requirement. Conversely, the things on my no list are there for a reason. Feel free to talk to me about them, just don't be surprised if I decide to ignore you.

Also on that note, the "Maybe" list is exactly that. Don't be afraid to ask, I won't hold it against you. The only things I absolutely will not do are the things on my "No" list, unless I approach you with them.

[collapse=Description]Jing-Wei is a short, strong woman(Who don't need no man) (([sub]I'm so sorry, this was the first thing I thought of as I realized what I was typing[/sub])), standing 4'11 and weighing 115 lbs. She has lustrous coal-black hair, light skin, thick lips and amber eyes, typically sporting warpaint on her face and neck. She has firm B-cup breasts, toned buttocks, and a flat stomach that boasts a set of well-defined and clearly visible abs, her arms and thighs equally well built without crossing the line into disturbing bulkiness, or sacrificing agility, and her hands are rough and calloused from years spent training and living in the wilderness. She has a row of five clean diagonal scars on the back of her left shoulder, a memento of a barely-survived ambush by a starving polar-bear dog.

She has a fierce, domineering, even brutal personality - But she is very caring, sweet and protective towards the few people she does befriend. She is a skilled firebender and hand to hand combatant, and while she is also competent with bladed weapons, she carries none, preferring to use the aforementioned skills. She is extremely competitive and driven, and has no qualms about cheating or fighting dirty to turn a situation to her advantage. [/collapse]




[collapse=History]Jing-Wei was born in a small coastal village to two firebenders, the second of seven children. She learned to fight by first fighting constantly with her siblings, who quickly outgrew her due to her naturally small stature, and later by begging her way into a firebending dojo near her home, doing chores in exchange for lessons(And later still, by being forced to survive in the wilderness). In her 14th year, however, things changed. Her hometown was attacked and overrun by marauders, and her family was forced to flee, save her father and older brother, who died fighting in the attack. Jing-Wei became seperated from her family several days later when a band of the marauders tracked their group of refugees inland and set upon them.

She lost a younger sister in this fight, and after watching her remaining family escape, was forced to flee into a nearby forest by herself to avoid being captured and enjoyed by the raiders. Having no survival or hunting skills to speak of, she nearly died of starvation in the following days, finally collapsing and fainting in sight of a stream, unable to even drag herself to the water.

When she woke, the first thing she saw was a large black wolf standing over her, licking it's chops and staring at her hungrily. When she flinched away from the beast, it lunged for her throat, and with a power born of desperation, terror, and refusal to die, she breathed fire for the first time in her life, cooking the unfortunate animal alive - And providing Jing-Wei with her first meal in days. The new power did not come free of charge, however; Her ability to breathe fire was awakened by raw terror, adrenaline and not any formal training. Thus, she did not know how to protect her mouth from her own flames, and badly burned herself. Famished as she was, though, that didn't stop her from digging into the now cooked wolf.

After eating so much roast wolf that she nearly vomited it back up, she took her fill of water from the stream and continued on her way - After smearing the wolf's blood across her cheeks as a barbaric form of warpaint. She continued on her way through the wilderness, circumventing her lack of hunting skill by playing dead until a predator approached what appeared to be a free meal, only to meet a fiery end from Jing-Wei's newfound power.

After two months in the wild, she finally stumbled on a city, where she stole new clothes, food, face paint, and survival equipment, spending the better part of two months carefully perpetrating a rash of burglaries the likes of which hadn't been seen in years.

Now fully supplied, newly clothed, and armed with the knowledge of several 'free' survival guides, Jing-Wei found that, while she still enjoyed human contact and had formed several new relationships, she had come to enjoy living outdoors, and the freedom that came with living on her own. But above all else, she could not bring herself to rest before she found her family. With that decision made, she set out again, beginning a years-long journey across the world.

While she did find her family after two years of searching, Jing-Wei realized, once again, that she enjoyed her travels too much to stop. Thus, after spending six months with her family, she left home again, leaving a significant portion of the money she had saved during her journey behind. She now simply wanders the world, improving her firebending and looking for her next adventure.[/collapse]



[collapse=Abilities]Jing-Wei is a skilled acrobat and climber, being naturally agile and flexible. She is also very fast on her feet. As a bender, her connection to fire gives her a naturally higher body temperature and resistance to cold. Her bending is boosted by intense heat, sunlight, proximity to the equator, and summertime. Conversely, her power is weakened by intense cold, nighttime, the full moon, and winter. In the event of a solar eclipse, her ability to firebend disappears entirely for the duration of the eclipse.

She is also quite competent at surviving in the wilderness and wooded areas in particular, having spent most of her travels in or as close to woodlands as possible. This, and her stolen survival guides, have given her a thorough knowledge of poisonous and edible plants, insects, and other wildlife known to live in forests, along with the know how to build primitive shelter(She has no reason to know how to start a fire, for hopefully obvious reasons).

Jing-Wei [b]CAN[/b]:
- Breath fire. (The breath of fire involves the user firebending out of his or her mouth, mixing air from the lungs with the flame, creating a wider, hotter blast. This is useful for stealth, as it requires no visible body motions and thus can be impossible to predict.)
- Perform various acrobatic feats.(Cartwheels, handstands, somersaults, backflips)
- Climb like a little monkey.
- Heat control.(The ability to heat and cool objects and liquids by touching them; One example is Iroh's heating of his tea in Ba Sing Se.)
- Heat sense.(The ability to sense body heat and heartbeat.)
- Fire claws.(Blowtorch-like jets which are created from the fingertips to use as close range claw-like attacks. However, they lack the ability to actually block physical objects.)
- Blazing rings and arcs. (Spinning kicks or sweeping arm movements create rings and arcs to slice larger, more widely spaced, or evasive targets.)
- Fireballs. (A basic ability, jabs and punches produce miniature fireballs and missiles of flame. These can be charged up to create larger, more powerful, slower bursts, or swiftly and repetitively fired to keep opponents off balance.)
- Fire streams. (Another basic firebending ability, firebenders can shoot continuous streams of fire from their fingertips, fists, palms, or legs. These streams can be widened to create flame-thrower like techniques.)
