Born to middle-class parents aboard the [i]Andromeda[/i] megastation, in orbit of Tau Ceti, Jessica's childhood was only noteworthy by how mundane it was. Growing up aboard an orbital colony had its advantages and disadvantages, but the one defining characteristic it gave her was an insatiable wanderlust. After spending her whole life on one rotating construction of plasteel and metal, she could hardly wait to get out and see what the universe was like. By twelve years old, she was already piloting her father's maintenance droids around the station arms; by fifteen, she had her pilot's license.

It wasn't until she was eighteen, though, that Jessica finally managed to set up shop for herself. With credits saved up from various jobs she'd had since leaving education, she managed to purchase herself a small freighter - little more than a one-woman cockpit with a cargo bay and hyperdrive attached, and enough engines to make it all move. Dubbed the [i]Intrepid[/i] - a big name for such a small ship - it was enough to let her finally seek her own fortune amidst the stars.

Now, two years down the line, Jessica's more of a shady, cocksure character than ever before. For those in the Tau Ceti cluster, the [i]Intrepid's[/i] signature scraping the edge of their sensor arrays is a familiar sight, moving goods and passengers from station to station round the clock. With little more than a few centimetres of reinforced glass and plasteel between her and the rest of the universe - as well as a couple of laser turrets - Jessica wouldn't have things any other way.

Please - feel free to ask about anything you have questions about. I'm easily approachable (or at least I like to think so), and I don't doubt that I've forgotten to write down or mark down something important. If the character catches your interest, I'd love to know about it, regardless of any qualms you might have on your end. We can probably work them out. I'm not new to ERP, though I am new to this site.

With regards the character in general - sci-fi RP is something I'm quite comfortable with. The backstory is easily malleable, should it need to be tailored to a less generic setting. I'm open for all sorts of scenes - even those not set in a sci-fi universe. My choice in partner characters is pretty broad - anything from other humans, to bestial types, to amorphous tentacle blobs. I don't rule a whole lot out.
