Even though 50% of Ralts' born are male, most people assume that every Gardevoir is female and every Gallade a guy. However, not every male Kirlia gets a dawn stone in time, meaning that some of them eventually grow up and evolve into a Gardevoir.

Jamie is one of those Gardevoir.

His trainer caught Jamie after he had already been fully evolved, and for a little bit, even he didn't know that he was a guy. But even when he found out- his trainer didn't leave him. Because of this, Jamie cares a lot about him and trusts him with his life- which happenes more often than one might think.
