Hikaru is a cheerful boy, traveling across JAPAN with a band of mercenaries.
His youthful appearance and joyful personality makes him seem like the last
person anyone would expect a wandering bandit or mercenary to be.

[u][b]Backstory[/b][/u]
Hikaru never knew his father. When his mother was a young girl, no older than 12 she met a boy who claimed that he was the strongest man in the world. He was silly and crude, but his mother was quickly infatuated with him and tried to become friends with the boy. She may have tried a bit too hard though, in fact before she knew it she and that young boy had shared a night together in a stable. When she awoke in the morning, the boy was nowhere to be found. She was heartbroken, but she prayed that she would some day meet the boy again. That day unfortunately never came and the girl was forced to raise their child alone. Despite this however, the girl held nothing against the boy. If he truly was the strongest man in the world then their child would no doubt follow in his footsteps some day.

Growing up without his father, Hikaru didn't have much discipline in his life. By the time he was 13 Hikaru had ran away from his home in the country to go to the city and find work that would give him a sense of purpose. Though he didn't find any work, he did meet a wandering swordsman who ended up teaching him how to fight and telling him all sorts of crazy propaganda like how "The Oda clan are evil and need to be destroyed." Though Hikaru wasn't all that convinced by the man's ramblings he had taken a shining to him and traveled with the man for two whole years before eventually parting ways with him and joining up with a less than reputable band of mercenaries that the man had told him about.

To call the band of men mercenaries was a bit of a stretch. Though in the past they might have been, but now they were essentially highwaymen preying on rich merchants and smugglers. Hikaru proved to be a great addition to the group, as he could us his good looks and cheerful personality to easily approach without arousing any suspicion at all.
