[color=red]Evelyn[/color] [color=gray]certainly is eye catching. A pale, slender body. Fiery red hair, and eyes that match. Her face betrays no emotion, and her voice is equally cold and sterile - and yet somehow pleasant to the ears. It's a soft thing, just like her skin. And yet this soft exterior hides a hard interior. A cold and steely shell that betrays Evelyn's true nature.

For Evelyn is in fact, an Android.

Designed, built, and tested in Japan. Evelyn is the poster child for Cyberlink Robotics' new line of near-human androids. From a distance, and even under scrutiny, one would have a hard time telling that the palish woman wasn't human at all - unless they knew what to look for. Her voice is one quick give away, it's cold yet soft droning. Another tell is her eyes. Those dull red things, so empty and dead, fitting for a machine that isn't truly alive. Perhaps her skin is a few degrees colder than a human's on occasion. And yet there is still a pulse when one checks for it. A subtle, soft beating within her chest. A fake muscle that pumps a synthetic liquid through her fake veins. For the most part, Evelyn is built in the image of her creators, for better or for worse.

But just like her creators, Evelyn is extremely dynamic. Unlike previous android models, she's capable of having minor self-awareness, which immediately gives her and her sisters a step above their precursors. With the ability to make quick and decisive thoughts and opinions in the heat of the moment, Evelyn and her kin are able to work autonomously whereas other robots must be constantly watched over and guided. Such autonomy has drawn the attention of police forces and militaries, as the addition of stronger than human androids, capable of operating in a constantly shifting environment is very enticing. Just the same, the service androids can provide as maids and workers for the elite of society cannot be downplayed. From house cleaners to body guards, Cyberlink's androids are in higher demand than ever before.

So truly, Evelyn could end up anywhere. Some ideas reside below. But of course, Evelyn could fit into any job given it needs someone with two hands. The sky is barely the limit.[/color]
