[big]E[/big]ire Braun is a student seeking to broaden her understanding of magic and someday ascend to the rank of an actual magus. However, she is not very proficient, barely able to master the basic practices of her craft, much less perform anything actually impressive. Coming from a family with a respectable magical background, her failures compounded with an abnormally low mana reserve have left her with near nothing to show of her proud lineage. Her days are devoted to her studies of conjuration and transmutation within her quarters, striving to someday prove her naysayers wrong.

[b][color=blue]Personality:[/color][/b] Eire is a curious person and a risk-taker especially when it comes to magic, often attempting to perform feats much too advanced for her skill level. She is studious, but is very inept and is distracted easily when putting her knowledge to practice without guidance. Nonetheless, Eire strives to overcome her burdens and eventually succeed. Despite this plucky nature, she is a very lonely being; constant failure occasionally causes her to feel inadequate - and more often than not, she feels isolated from many people, especially her peers.

*[i][color=red][b]Optional:[/b] Continued rejection and failure have left her bitter and spiteful, nurturing an abusive side that reveals itself often.[/color][/i]


[b][color=black]Abilities:[/color][/b] Eire's capabilities are limited to the most basic spells and phenomena magi are able to produce. Transmutation and conjuration are her main 'fortés,' if they can even be called such, and even then with her low mana she can only perform small feats of those two schools:

[i]Transmutation:[/i]
- Eire carries the ability to alter the internal temperature of substances and beings, including herself. The more specific the bodypart, the less mana it consumes.
- Eire is able to cause vibrations within objects, and minor tremors at the expense of most of her mana.

[i]Conjuration:[/i]
- Eire can produce small fires (think of the amount of flame a match makes when struck)
- Eire is also able, with sufficient use of her mana, to summon minor elementals utilizing a casting circle.

[b][color=purple]Appearance:[/color][/b] Lithe and long-limbed, Eire's body seems to remain in good health, considering the amount of time she spends indoors by her lonesome. A child of the Braun family, she inherited most of her mother's features - soft green eyes, slightly worn from voracious reading, look out from her slender face. Her thinness, accentuated by the milky skin over her body, gives off an impression of fragility, although her gentle looks belie her resolute spirit. However, Eire's narrow shoulders look only to add to this delicate appearance. Black hair falls down to her shoulders, kept straight for the most part. Her most valuable possession, a thick, fur-lined robe, can be often found draped over her regular clothing, its size much too large for her own good.

[color=yellow]★[/color] After what seems to be an eternity of preparation and materials gathering, Eire finally gets herself together long enough to attempt a major summoning from an old grimoire passed onto her. Of course, trying to evoke a being far too advanced for her typically doesn't work out, but this time it goes all [i]too well.[/i]. (Note that this scenario is probably the best for quick scenes and such.)

[color=yellow]★[/color] The Braun family is considered to have produced long-respected line of mages - up until Eire was born this fact held true. Her own failures and shortcomings as a mage very apparent to the heads of the family, Eire has been assigned to a personal mentor in the craft, a move that will hopefully improve upon her own skills in due time - perhaps not just in magic!

[color=yellow]★[/color] Your character has been Eire's rival for a long while in terms of magical talent - all the jealousy there had been, the fights, and countless arguments that didn't seem meaningful to you, but everything to her for some strange reason. Eire's withdrawal into her home was an unexpected surprise, however - and when you go to check up on her, you might come across a changed woman... a harsher, more violent being.
