It's no wonder this less-than-ideal home situation has turned the nine year old rather hostile towards society.

He isn't one of the most well-behaved children -- indeed, one might think they've just stepped into Xboxlive, with the amount of mothers Dion has claimed he's fucked. It's all bark and no bite, of course, given the boy's slightly malnourished state and short stature, and it makes the tenants of the smelly apartment building laugh their asses off. Dion has yet to realize that he can't go around life just insulting people without the strength or charm to diffuse any unpleasant situations that might arise: he's much more independent than many kids his age, and so he considers himself entitled to his own attitude. And yet, for all his brattyness, he can be downright loyal and caring when you get past that hard outer shell.

Dion is a right brat, but he just needs someone to show him support. Or, you know, just give him twenty bucks and he'll suck your cock! He'll say it jokingly, but if you happen to agree to any such offer, he'll go right through with it. Dion is no coward and always sticks to his word, and he's also he's saving up for some non second-hand clothes and a jug of milk; it's not like sex possesses any emotional attachment for him when there's money involved.

Children can be quite precocious sometimes, and you know once someone starts bragging about what they did with their girlfriend or how many dirty movies they've seen, the pressure starts to pretend you know as much as everyone else, or done more than them. Dion doesn't feel that urge, and can, of course, tell when his classmates are making stuff up: most of them wouldn't know the front of a cunt from the bottom. He won't usually bother pointing out anything odd, unless it's someone he doesn't like and he just feels like pointing out they're lying. This can get him in trouble, though, as people will turn their questions to him, and he might just have to show he actually knows what he's talking about.

Alternatively, if Dion were to have a close friend, and that friend was stressed out because they've had zero experience with a girl/boyfriend, Dion might just be gracious enough to offer to give them some "experience", so they too can brag to the class about all the bases they've run through in their life.

People who live in the same Apartment Complex as Dion know the kid well enough to stay out of his way. Between hostile streaks of insults he can let loose when bothered, and the lewd propositions that make most adults in the building uncomfortable, only a few tenants in the building have a good opinion of the kid. Everyone else merely tolerates him, and to someone who's recently moved into the building, this approach to such a young boy can be puzzling.

Attempts to be gracious and kind to the kid, who obviously comes from a dysfunctional household, can therefore have mixed results. The most usual, rooted in Dion's distrust of people, includes the boy assuming the new tenant must be some sort of pedo who wants to get his hands down his pants. Which is just fine with Dion, so long as he can get money and food from him, and the kid will be quite pleasant with the new tenant after the first few hostile encounters, try to hang out at his apartment to be a tease, or more boldly approach him at night to ask if he wants a blowjob, only fifty bucks.[/indent]

Dion's mother got pregnant on accident, and she never told the father about it -- she might not have been entirely sure of the paternity, didn't want to involve the man, or moved away to another city before realizing she was pregnant. Either way, she's raised Dion completely on her own, and Dion assumes his father was just a client of hers, and will say he has no interest in finding out hat wino was his father.

Whether it's true that the man is a less-than-stellar client, or he's actually an outstanding young man, fate would have it so he finds Dion's mother again, perhaps drops by for a visit and spots the boy, quickly connecting the dots and realizing Dion is his. When he approaches the kid, though, Dion doesn't seem all that enthused about spending time with him, in fact trying to convince the man he's not fit to have children, antagonizing him, or even throwing in teases and flirting, as if to further prove the man should want nothing to do with Dion. A stern father might want to put Dion over his lap and smack him into better behavior, while a dedicated dad might get past Dion's hostile behavior with patience and love. A perverted father willing to prove Dion right is never amiss, either.

Dion's mother is usually very good at avoiding cops, but no one's luck lasts forever, and Dion can't always avoid Child Protection Services. A little slip, and he's in the system, causing trouble for the government until he's assigned to a foster home, at least until his mother's time in jail is up and the court can decide if she's fit to raise him or not. Dion doesn't really enjoy the idea of being babied or being forced to live with strangers, so it's not weird for him to slip out of the house and try to head back to the apartment, only to be brought back to his new home by the police at late hours of the night. Either way, a foster home allows many interactions between Dion and his temporary family.[/indent]
