[b][u][big]Overview[/big]_____[/u][/b][indent]Déchu is a male Viera with a distinct French flavour. He works as a freelance Sniper and Assassin in Jylland. He isn't terribly famous, but that's how the Viera wants it. He's done various jobs, offering up his services to the highest bidder. He's even been responsible for taking out a few big named clan leaders. When he isn't in the service of a guild or clan, he's usually found in Moorabella or Camoa, stalking the pubs for a job to do, or striking up some shady business deal.[/indent]

[indent]Déchu is the quiet sort. Being a male Viera, he is fiercely competitive, especially around other men. He may even become irritated and passive-aggressive just by being in the presence of someone else with a penis. He doesn't care much for women, but doesn't exactly know how to approach them. The first time he's even seen a girl is when he moved to the city. They are kind of mystifying... Déchu also doesn't like being around Humes for extended periods of time. The species reminds him far too much of his mentor; and how he was unable to save the man from the wood chipper-like mouth of that Antlion so many years ago. He also has a crippling aversion to the Antlion species as a whole, as such, Déchu avoids deserts and caves like the plague. If asked to do a job near a cave or desert, he'll outright deny the employer, no matter how much he'd get paid. It is a silly weakness, yes, but Déchu doesn't care. If he were to see an Antlion, he'd probably faint.[/indent]
[u][b]Appearance[/b][/u]
[indent]Déchu, being a male Viera, is quite androgynous. His uniform, the standard fare for a Viera Sniper, doesn't help at all as it covers most of his body. Upon first inspection, he does appear to be a woman, and most wouldn't look twice. He does lack the chest that female Viera are known for, but this can easily be overlooked as bad gentics. Many a potential pervert have been tricked by Déchu's feminine physique, not that he entirely minded...

Since going to live among Humes, Déchu has dyed his naturally white hair a shade of reddish-brown. His hair is also a short length and kept neatly under his hat. He's also quite tall, and measures a bit higher than most female Viera. Although lithe, his feminine frame is very toned. Archery is quite a physically demanding trade, after all! His arms and back are especially strong. Déchu's ears are very tattered, though. The sorry state they're in make him look very haggard; which isn't inaccurate, as he is a drifter. His entire appearance, putting the natural grace of a Viera aside, is very filthy, almost sad looking. Under his clothes, Déchu's body is covered in dark red Viera runes. He was tattooed with them as per a custom in his village at the age of 13. The symbols start along the posterior deltoids and mark all along the sides of his torso. The markings reach along to the sides of his thighs before coming to a full stop above the knee.[/indent][/collapse]
[collapse=Bio]Déchu was born on the 2nd of Plumfrost. His mother rejected him after the child's first year, and has since been in the care of his father, a soft spoken white mage. He lived as normal of a childhood as he could for a male Viera. His strong upper body and keen senses made him an excellent hunter in his small village located somewhere in the Rupie Mountains. He was often regarded by the elders as a prodigy, as his prowess with the bow remained unmatched by even the village's veteran archers.

He went to go live with the Humes when he was 16. It was there in Moorabella that Déchu met with a Hume Hunter who took the young Viera under his wing. The two ventured out into the Galleria Deep to train, and lived there for almost five years. Under this Hume's watchful eye, Déchu became a skilled Sniper. However, his partner was killed by a monster, the Pit Beast, that they were hired to kill. Heartbroken, Déchu returned to civilization.

Since then, he's put his skills to work as a freelance Sniper for various guilds and clans. He works for whoever shells out the most money for any particular mission, but rarely stays with a single employer for very long. Due to his life as a drifter, the Viera's skills are highly coveted when it comes to taking out any influential person. His wandering lifestyle doesn't leave a trail, and his only contacts are his employers. However, they've usually lost him after he's left town.[/collapse]

[collapse=OOC]Hi, I've developed this character with story-based roleplay in mind. I'm certainly not against pure sex roleplay, but people who make it apparent that they haven't read my profile will be ignored...

I'm primarily interested in interacting with other Ivalice-based characters. However, I've only played Tactics Advanced and Tactics: A2, so I'm not very familiar with the whole world of Ivalice, just the handheld Tactics games. Other Final Fantasy characters are fine, of course!
