Crimson Axe is a powerful magical girl gifted with strength, speed, and an axe that spews flame. She was once a member of a team of seven lifetime friends who were gifted together, each with a different color and weapon. She was the weakest of them, never able to tap into her full potential until a fight in which all six of her friends fell in battle. It was then that she learned that her power was charged by her anger, and used it to avenge her friends.

Feeling guilty about the outcome of that battle, and fearful of seeing anyone else she cared about die, she ran away from everyone she knew and began wandering, making a living however she could as a stranger to everyone she met. Not wanting to harm others, in her more desperate times she instead resorted to discarding her dignity and ignoring her own safety.

She used her power only to eliminate supernatural threats, defeating monsters and villains from the shadows. Her methods were efficient, but not ruthless. It was in the process of this self-imposed responsibility that she met other magical girls. Over time, she was unable to prevent herself from opening up to them, and felt herself getting attached. Since then, her fighting style became more reckless, placing herself in danger to protect her new friends from harm.
