A life of luxury is Cordelia's goal, and she is always looking for the next 'big score.' Despite her skill set, she is rather lazy and if she had her way, she would spend the rest of her days in idle self-indulgence. She is greedy, and is unreliable when money is not involved.[/color]

The only thing she knows about her parents was that they abandoned her, and for much of her youth the person closest to her was her sister, Josephine. Simply surviving from day to day on the streets was their life. As the years passed, Cordelia turned out to be quite the little street-wise thief, while her sister discovered a talent for sorcery. Cordelia is an accomplished thief who excels at breaking and entering into homes, picking out what is most valuable, and leaving without being noticed. She has a talent for spotting traps and snares, and either bypassing them or disabling them altogether. She can defend herself with moderate skill, and her favored weapon is a dagger. She is also familiar with hand crossbows. However, she is no fighter and she would much rather get out of sticky situations by using her considerable charms.[/color]

[color=pink]Cordelia's bust was not always as bountiful as it is. In fact, she was rather modestly endowed, in sharp contrast with her shapely sister Josephine. Cordelia hails from the city of [b]Silvergate[/b]. It is a vast, multicultural city that serves as a trading hub. North of Silvergate lies a major mountain range, which splits eastern and western lands. A river runs through the city, with numerous bridges connecting both sides. South of the city is an open bay, with a harbor that is the destination of many merchant ships from all over the world. The weather is temperate, with mild winters and long summers.

Silvergate is primarily led by a council of merchants and guild masters, each representing a particular trade. They value the city's independence, which drives many of their decisions. There is tension between this council, and the aristocrats that used to rule over the region. While aristocrats still retain significant influence, in practice it is the council that makes the rules and maintains policies. Many of the noble families have thus fallen into decadence, sinking their fortunes into showy and self-indulgent parties.

The citizens are open minded and tolerant toward foreign cultures, and indeed there are enclaves of said cultures throughout Silverage. However, elements that endanger the public such as openly hostile and savage races, and religions with downright evil practices, are not welcome.

Magic and technology coexist, but to the layman, these are often hard to distinguish. Engineers rely on elemental powers for their machines, while practitioners of magic appreciate the reliability of technology to accomplish their goals.[/color]

[collapse=Sisters of Silvergate][color=pink]Occasionally, Cordelia's services are called upon by the Sisters of Silvergate. While the exact nature of this organization is not clear, Cordelia has a hunch they are really just bored noblewomen who wish to create kinky situations for their voyeuristic pleasure. Somehow, their requests either involve risqué tasks that lead to lewd encounters, or are blatantly intended to have Cordelia get it on with a notorious figure in the city.[/color] [/collapse]
