A Gardevoir cursed by the fates! And no, not in the tragic magic kind of way.

Have you ever had a dream? That one day you'd grow up to be something fantastic that people would look up to? Well, Ashley did. As a young Ralts, he had one dream all his life. He wanted to become a Gallade and be a heroic protector of justice against the forces of tyranny and evil. They were his idols, knights in shining armor that saved the day and looked good doing it! He was determined to achieve this goal some day. To be looked up to and respected by his peers and friends! That's why the day he first found a trainer, he allowed himself to be captured. Unfortunately for him, the trainer had other plans...

Ashley had been performing in contests quite a bit while a Ralts and a Kirlia. He was never any good at them, he always thought he had more of a knack for combat which is why he wanted to become a Gallade! But he dealt with it since he heard that a lot of Ralts and Kirlias were entered into contests by trainers thanks to their cute appearance very easily swaying the judge's attention. It makes sense, right? Right! But unfortunately for him, the trainer had another idea in mind. Even though Ashley was shaping up to be an, [sub]ahem[/sub], exceptionally gifted male even when he was a mere Ralts, he was forced to evolve into a Gardevoir. When the day came that he transformed into the feminine form of the Gallade's opposite, he was heartbroken. It was only a few days after the event that he escaped his trainer to... Do who knows what.

This is where the story leaves off. Looking for a purpose that can fill the void in his heart. Maybe looking for someone that will actually care about his wants. Maybe to try to be the hero that he always saw Gallades performing as.
