It's a complicated thing, you know. Some might call it mathematical in its scope and mechanism. I could regale you with days of lecturing theoretical, expounding interminably on Circularity, the Voices Parallel, Quietus, Quorum, and on and on -- but would you listen? Does it matter? These are concepts that take every practitioner [b]years[/b] to even begin comprehending; you can wait a little while to start pulling these things from me.

Magic is an efficacious, rare thing. It automates mundanities away. It delivers, with varying degrees of grace and care, that all-important push against the flank of an impasse teetering on the precipice of resolution. Magic solves problems. Magic influences everything around you, at all times. But, most of all, magic is one big secret. Horrifying, isn't it?

That's okay. As it turns out, commissions of evil intent by magical means are dealt with harshly, if detected: the powers and secrets known by any adept can be ripped from their brains. Don't mistake that for ill-intent; he fears discountenance and isolation terribly, and, as a result, seeks meaning and fulfillment from whatever attention and company he can find while he travels. He'd venture to call himself a loving person, and he wouldn't be incorrect. He would also, however, be omitting quite a lot.

Playing with Aog is most likely going to be a slow, smouldering burn. There will be a lot of talking. A rich setting as backdrop to what ensues. Drag his secrets from him, kicking and screaming. Worm your way into his heart. But, most importantly, [b]don't trust him.[/b][/collapse][/collapse]
