Shit got bad. Fast. Look, I was just hired to guard some convoy, on a backwater planet- boring work, easy pay. I'm not some grizzled soldier; but... whatever the [i]hell[/i] shot at us wasn't natural. First, we had accurate fire coming at us from about a kilometer away; it didn't kill anyone either, no. She shot out the damned engines on our vehicles. A day passed, and by then... I hid under a truck for this. Whatever we were escorting, it came for it- hell, it, or rather, her, [i]laughed[/i]. I've seen synths in my day, and usually, they're either pretty dumb, or just like you and I, except, y'know, robotic. This one was... different. We're lucky we didn't lose anyone, but, the cargo's a total loss.

Synth came in today. Ordered a few augmentations- a multi spectrum eye, enhanced hearing... though, that's not the weird part. Special ordered some rather odd parts- cocks, a bio-processor, and a lubrication generator. (Probably why she got a bio-processor. Synths don't normally eat.) And I could've sworn she was hitting on me, too... judging how she insisted on trying the parts on in front of my desk.

Anubis- an artificially intelligent, sentient robot, given the (rough) equivalent of a soul... consciousness, self awareness- there are many different names for what she has, but it all means one thing; she's alive. And she's been alive for a while- four hundred years, in fact. In the distant future, her kind's not that uncommon of a sight anymore, even if she WAS one of the first created. Unfortunately, living for so long can cause one to become unstable; code becomes corrupted with time, especially with the occasional forced exposure to focused electro-magnetic pulses to shut her down. It's a long story of battle damage and age, but, all that made her paranoid- a bit sadistic, in fact. while she's not completely evil, her morals are definitely lacking, and, it's not rare to see her indulging in the misfortune of others. Whatever she's doing, whether it's simply living, or mercenary work, like she did in her younger days, the robot's usually quite dangerous...
