Pretty girls, magic's pretty interesting; but something about all this just rubs me the wrong way. Like they always say, 'there's no place like home.'"
- Alfred Svent
[collapse=A Stranger's Journey] Alfred Svent was not always a resident of this world. To be frank, he's never felt more out of place since he got here. Though he rarely talks of the home that he was so rudely torn away from, rumor has it that on the occasional drunken binge he'll spill some details. Of a place called "America" or perhaps "The United States." He tells of a great war against an evil, something about "Not-Sees". Some people suspect he's simply a victim of a mind flayer attack, and others simply think he's delusional. Nobody would suspect that he was a traveler from a place that knew nothing of arcane magics that shape the world or the divine beings that grant power to their disciples. His journey was abrupt. One moment he was gasping for air and swimming for the shores of Normandy. The next, he was in a fisherman's home wondering where on earth he'd drifted to. As it so happened, he was no longer on earth. This new world and all its strange trappings mystified Alfred for a great long while, but after a great deal of wandering about and working odd jobs he found himself looking to do more than just survive. Finally ready to seek out what a world full of mages and swordsman had to offer, Alfred set out to seek his fortune and perhaps with a bit of luck even a way back home. [/collapse]
