[sub]There are Four Noble Truths to be followed in this world, preached by the Buddha Siddhartha Gautama. They are as follows: All transient things are unsatisfying. By fruitlessly clinging to them, we fall into samsara. To let go of samsara and our desires is to remove ourselves from the cycle of rebirth. The way to this release is the Eightfold Path. These are the Four Noble Truths which all aspiring Buddhists must ascribe. The true ones, anyway. Most are just looking for a new "something" to cling to, not quite realizing that they're just adding onto the weight of their own reincarnation. Sachiko, at the very least, is very clear that she isn't a Buddhist to attain Satori. It just helps her calm down.

Truthfully (nobly truthfully?), she needs all the help she can get. As an intern at the International Association for the Sustained Acceptance of Metahuman Persons (IASAMP, for short, or Izamp when she's talking about it casually), Sachiko has to deal with some...frustrating customers. Bigots, those are fine. She can deal with bigots. She has to do that off the clock, so it's something of a boon that she can get paid to do it now. Ignorance is fine. Ignorance can be informed and made educated. Most of the time.

The real problem is the people who claim to be "on her side," yet come to the office and try to cajole a handout from her. That simply doesn't fly, and it's very hard to tell them off politely and concisely. Sachiko's working the mailroom currently thanks to her inability to do so.

Sachiko is a few things, and one of them is impatient. One of the hardest parts about working with Izamp is that most of the stereotypes are true. They can't really be dispelled, because just one look at Sachiko's face when some fucking Tanuki is slapping his balls on the ground hopping in place looking for a few yen because his car got nicked and it's a hate crime because it was a human who did it and aren't humans the worst c'mon surely Sachiko knows what he's talking about and-

Suffice to say, it gets irritating. She doesn't have an iron club (not all the stereotypes are true), but sometimes she wishes she did.

When she's not working at Izamp, Sachiko is more often than not at the gym, less to stay in shape, though she's certainly in shape, but more to keep herself from blowing her top. From there, it's back home to order carry-out or attempt some "traditional" cooking with her wok. She can't count how many times she's had to bluff about mixed ancestry to explain away why an Oni is preparing Chinese food. Thank goodness people think the way her face flushes devilish red when she does is out of anger, not abject humiliation.

She's a kind soul when you get to know her, and she has a soft spot for children. After all, they don't really know any better, and they have a lifetime to learn how to be a good person. Fifty-somethings with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove? Not so much. Fortunately, she falls somewhere in the middle there, so she can afford to cut herself a little slack. Most of the time.
