This is normally done by either being much smaller in size, or hiding their wings and appearing identical to a normal human. They have magical powers that are hard to explain, and are able to change the size of objects and people at will. Due to this finding a fae is very difficult, and very unlikely unless they chose to be found out.

Gregory is such a fae, one who wants to be found out due to his unique personality. He loves being tiny, especially around females, and will go out of his way to show himself in front of them for interaction. Normally he will be around three inches, or finger sized. But depending on his mood or that of the female he will go much smaller, even speck sized.
