[color=gray]In her youth, Carmen dos Angelique was a hellcat - wild and irresponsible, born into the troubled Kingdom of Altamir. Always getting into trouble as a child, she lacked the focus to shape herself into something worthwhile and respectable. As she grew older, she fell in with like-minded individuals and their romps eventually turned into less-than-reputable activities. Soon, the motley group turned to banditry, which they performed with surprising efficiency. Though never taking things too far herself, some of her companions did not have the restraint Carmen possessed. During a particular hold up, one of their marks resisted - blood was shed and lives were taken in the ensuing clash. While this incident gave Carmen significant pause for reflection, she did not immediately leave the band of increasingly ill-reputed hooligans, though she did start to find excuses to not directly involve herself in the holdups. When their leader made the decision to hit a passing marked caravan that looked laden with treasure, Carmen's life would be forever changed.

Having grown disgusted by the actions of her companions, but unable to find it within herself to abandon them, she voiced her protest to the proposed raid, but was immediately shut down by the intimidating leader of their group. She would participate, or she would be the next target of their carnal lifestyle. The caravan belonged to the Sisterhood of the Hearth, a relatively unknown order of Clerics, Knights and Paladins situated in an ancient Monastery deep within the Therian Mountains. Defended by professional adventurers who did not take kindly to the bandits demands and threats of violence, the Sisters guarding the caravan (which was indeed loaded with dungeon treasure) utterly decimated the lot of Carmen's companions. Having distanced herself from the actual fighting due to her apprehension caused by earlier raids, the Sisters spared Carmen when she surrendered. The Elder Sister of the caravan guard saw both the measure of regret and the potential for salvation within the young Carmen, who finally accepted the consequences of her actions as she bowed her head awaiting the hammerblow. Convincing her to come along to their Monastery instead of having her story end there and then, she accepted this opportunity to start again.

At the Monastery, Carmen quickly found a home in much more matured and focused companions. The tenants of the Sisterhood suited Carmen's personality, and she learned the skills of an adventurer at first from those who would tutor her and give her the second chance she now desperately wanted. The lessons learned from the Sisters who sheltered and guided her were taken to heart, and as time passed, the hellion nature of her psyche was gradually reshaped and moulded into yearning purpose. Rather than change who she was at her core, the Sisters focused Carmen's future to be that of passionate worth, rather than senseless savagery. The Clerical Domains of the Sisterhood manifested themselves within Carmen's very soul after years of living amongst the peaceful, protective Sisters of the Monastery, and she was brought before the Elder Sisters to be tested for induction into the Sisterhood itself. Converted from her wildfire days of reckless abandon, she became Sister Carmen dos Angelique, Cleric of the Sisterhood of the Hearth, equally adept in the heralded virtues of the Sisterhood - [i]Community, Passion, and Duty.[/i]

After more than a decade as a inducted Sister, Carmen continues to venture out both in adventurous and dutiful zeal, harnessing the divinely-inspired power within herself to bring glory and prosperity upon the Sisterhood, her family of companions, and for herself.[/color][/collapse][/color]
